Software Department Manager
Role Description :
Senior engineering management role leading a multidisciplinary software group developing complex, high‑performance systems in a medical‑imaging / advanced‑systems environment. The position combines people management, architectural leadership, and delivery ownership.
Responsibilities :
- Manage a software department of approximately 15 engineers, including 2–3 team leads
- Provide hands‑on technical and architectural leadership across Host, Real‑Time, Reconstruction, and DevOps domains
- Own software execution end‑to‑end: planning, delivery, quality, and timelines
- Lead hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management
- Drive engineering standards, code quality, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with R&D teams: system engineering, product, hardware and QA
- Ensure compliance with quality processes and regulatory requirements, when relevant
Requirements :
- BSc in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
- 10+ years of hands‑on software development experience
- 5+ years of engineering management experience
- Strong background in software architecture and system‑level design
- High technical credibility and ability to lead senior engineers
- Fluent in English and Hebrew
Advantage :
- Experience in regulated medical‑device software; multi-disciplinary product development
- Background in real‑time systems, high‑performance computing, or hardware‑related software

Director of R\&D
Position's Scope :
- Managing a team of 15 engineers, including 2–3 team leads.
- Multidisciplinary Software Team Management: Host, Reconstruction, Real-Time, and DevOps.
Skills :
System understanding, deep software architecture knowledge, software project management abilities
Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering
Relevant Experience :
A professional manager with at least 10 years of hands-on experience and a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.
Advantage Experience :
Background and experience in CT and/or medical imaging companies.

Director of R&D
Languages :
Fluent in English & Hebrew
