System Engineering Department Manager
Position's Scope :
Management of the System Engineering Department and technical leadership of multidisciplinary system engineering activities.
Position Summary
Lead and manage the System Engineering Department, overseeing the definition, development, integration, and validation of complex multidisciplinary medical imaging systems. Responsible for professional leadership, people management, technical excellence, and alignment of department activities with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead and manage the System Engineering team.
– Define and maintain system requirements, specifications, and design documentation.
– Drive system architecture, integration, verification, and validation activities.
– Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary development teams.
– Conduct root-cause and failure analysis and support problem resolution.
– Develop department processes, methodologies, and best practices.
– Manage team workload, priorities, and professional development.
– Support transfer of products to production and service organizations.
– Ensure alignment of engineering activities with company strategy and product roadmap.
Skills :
- Strong system engineering background in large-scale multidisciplinary systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on technical capabilities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to write clear requirements, specifications, and design documents.
• Team-oriented and fast learner.
Education :
B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Physics, or other relevant discipline.
Relevant Experience :
- At least 3 years of engineering or physics experience in medical imaging R&D.
• Experience with large and complex medical devices.
• Hands-on laboratory work.
• Team leadership or department management experience.
• Experience working within a matrix organization.
• Experience transferring products to production and service organizations.
Advantage Experience :
Previous experience managing system engineering teams in the medical device industry.
